Privacy

We treat privacy as an inviolable structural guarantee. We do not sell your attention, profile your searches, or store your browsing sessions.

Zero-Retention Core Principle

We believe your browsing activity is private by default. Ember does not log your browsing history, tab content, search inputs, or task instructions to central servers. What happens in Ember stays on your machine.

No Behavioral Tracking or Advertising

We do not build user behavioral profiles, sell browsing data, or partner with data brokers. Ember operates on a direct, transparent software model, not an ad-supported surveillance model.

Local-First Model Computation

Whenever possible, semantic understanding and page synthesis take place using on-device models. If high-parameter cloud computation is required for complex tasks, data is transmitted over encrypted channels, processed in-memory, and immediately discarded without training any models.

Data Ownership and Export

You retain complete ownership over your configuration, task history, and workflow recipes. You can export your data in open JSON formats or wipe your local cache completely at any time.

Third-Party Service Interactions

When Ember browses external websites on your behalf, it interacts with third-party servers according to your specific task instructions. Third-party sites are governed by their respective privacy terms, and Ember enforces strict tracker blocking and cookie compartmentalization.
